Condo Cleaning Checklist

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic and the push for all Canadians to practice social distancing, continue washing their hands, and stay home… this is the time to start your spring cleaning and disinfect your condo (or home!) We’ve compiled an easy to follow, a 7-day checklist to get your condo germ-free and looking brand new.

The COVID19 virus can last up to 5 days on surfaces if we are not careful and proactive:

Take the time to wipe all surfaces, remove all clutter, clean linen, replace vents, and all else that needs a good disinfectant!

Pay close attention to the main touchpoints in the home, meaning the items that are handled the most (ie, door handles, remotes, phones, keyboards, light switches, etc) wiping them down frequently throughout the day.

Ensure all essential items are well-stocked (but not hoarded!) (ie. disinfectant spray, soap, sponges, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, etc) to avoid making too many trips to the store.

*Please note: This is a general surface clean. If you or anyone in your household was tested positive with the virus your home may require a more thorough clean than stated below that is done by professionals*

Day 1 - Kitchen

-Clean out the refrigerator. Throw away perishable or non-perishable items that have expired or are close to the expiry date. Wipe away sticky shelves or spills from inside.
